Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Wichita .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

As storm came in everyone was released for the day. I chose to sit and set up 3 cameras each shooting 1/3 sec continously running shots. I dont use a strike indicator just the old "spray and pray" after about 500 frames from all 3 i had about 12 good shots like this one.

This photograph was actually taken for my college photography class and we were doing a project based on symmetry and I immediately thought of those thick cables and points at the top of the bridge. These elements combined to create a very balanced image with leading lines and symmetry. This iconic spot in the heart of Wichita, KS is frequently photographed but I wanted to try to portray a different view.

    Title or Location: Downtown Wichita
I was spending a beautiful winter day walking around downtown Wichita when I saw this interesting handrail at the steps of a hotel. There were two people having a conversation walking to the hotel. I can only assume they were on their way to some kind of convention or possibly a work meeting. I was really drawn to the symmetry of the row of trees on one side of the side walk and the brick of the hotel on the other.

The skies were cloudy and grey all afternoon and I almost didn?t go out to shoot sunset. I?m glad I decided to try because the sky put on an amazing show that evening.

A photo of a Tree Swallow taken during a walk through the meadowlands. These birds are extremely quick and erratic often difficult to photograph. Luckily this one decided to take a little posing break and allowed me a nice shot. Taken with my Canon R5 with a Sigma 150-600 mm lens.
