Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Wichita .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

    The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

    Hi, friends.
    My name is Jesse and I have been a lover of all things media my entire life. I began working in the audio/video industry at 16 and never looked back. I have had successful careers in radio, television, social media, videography and photography. I have been teaching journalism for nearly 20 years and my students have gone on to working in Hollywood productions, sports media, and countless other media related jobs.
    In my spare time I enjoy long distance running, playing trivia and spending time with my family. Additionally, I do a tremendous amount of freelance photo and video work as well as do live video directing for our local minor league baseball team.

    It was a beautiful fall day in November, I was waiting for a client & while I was walking around looking for the perfect spot to shoot her 40th birthday pictures, I noticed the house's reflection in the water. It was such a unique image that I just had to snap this shot. Settings were ISO 200, 75mm F7.1, 1/125s. My favorite aspect of this picture is how the reflection image is I think prettier than the actual image.

    The photo was taken in the fall of 2023 while we were out doing a BBQ with our neighbor friends at the Winfield lake. We noticed how pretty the sky was. I love taking unique perspectives with my photography. We explore all over the state and created Exploring Kansas to showcase my photography and in hopes to get more people out exploring the state.

    This photo was taken at the spur of the moment. I was returning from lunch and parking when I noticed the sunset. I parked where I had a good view and quickly snapped the photo with my GalaxyS22. The moment was gone less than a minute later. I was in the right place at the right time.

    This was sunset time at Great Sand Tunes National Park here in Colorado. Any time of time is amazing there to see this natural wonder in person, but sunrise and sunset times I feel are the best as the ever changing shadows just give the dunes such a different look and mood and changes by the minute, I choose a little slower shutter speed just to soften things somewhat and really like how this turned out.
