Well, as the weather gets warmer, I love to ride my bike all over town, and one place I go to is the cemetery out in West Wichita. I was riding around looking for a friend of mines grave when I ride by the small pond they have there and snapped this shot just as the sun was going down. There was no wind so it made for a perfect reflection of the sky on the water. I named it Reflections not only because of the reflection of the sky on the water, but also because of where I was. Cemeteries have a

It was a cloudy day and my cat was up in the tree. he had always had very deep blue, but with all the defused light from the clouds and the contrast from the tree bark, It sent me running for my camera.I shot it on a Nikon D5600, with a 70 - 200mm lens, on January 25, 2024.I shot it raw while in manual mode, the aperture was 4.1, the iso 100, and the shutter speed was 1 over 700.

Sedgwick County Park in Wichita is one of my favorite places to go to relax and watch the wildlife. There almost always is something interesting happening to watch or take a photograph of. In this case I saw a ring billed gull in the distance picking something up out of the water. Gulls fortunately aren't really spooked by humans. I walked along the water to get as close as I could and realized it was trying to eat a bluegill. It was a pretty good sized bluegill too. I got a few pictur

Almost daily I drive through the park . On this particular morning , 1/5/24 I brought my camera along knowing the snow can make for some great photos. This stand of trees caught my attention. I liked how they were stacked behind each other and the contrast of the dark limbs with the white snow. . I took the photo from my car window. Dearing the eclipse of 2017 my family and I sat in our backyard here in WA to watch the 93 totality with our eclipse glasses. With my homemade solar filter attached to my camera, I took a series of photos of the sun during the eclipse. After processing my sun photos, I was disappointed to see that the moon only showed up as a black hole and not its proper form. I am an avid shooter of Astro photography and have several photos of the moon taken from my backyard and multiple other locations. I

I took this image on Nov. 2, 2021 at 7 am on Nov. 2, 2001 at 7 am. As I was driving around the Cove I came upon this Buck as I came up over a rise. I had a feeling that he was about to cross the road. My hunch was right. He crossed one fence and eventually crossed the other one. I was ready for his movement. I took a series over shots. It was very exciting.Canon EF 100-400 f4.5 - 5.6L ISO 4,000 f8 1/200s

Canon EOS 800DEF 75-300 f/4-5.675mm1/640F4.5ISO 200I was out practicing my technique. Had spent a little while chasing squirrels around the park. This took me to an area of the park I had not been in. The way these two tulips were complete opposites and yet seem to lean on each other drew my attention to them.
