Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Wichita .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

I really enjoyed the class, Jesse made some provided good information and suggestions. The only drawback was because of Riverfest the streets had a lot of cones, signs and fences often blocking what could have been good shots.

Hand out was very useful. Riverfest area prevented is from walking the predetermined route. It was very enjoyable walking around with other photographers, seeing how they looked at a scene, trying some different techniques.

    Kelly Smith
Hello! My name is Kelly, and I love taking photos! My favorite subject to photograph is horses, but I've also done a few senior portraits, weddings, and I really enjoy doing still life photos as well. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Digital Photography in 2019 with the intention of becoming a horse show photographer, but that plan went out the door thanks to Covid. So instead, I've spent the last several years working on my eye and honing my craft. I look forward to spending time with other photographers!

We were on vacation to Orange Beach, Alabama in June 2018. I had just started taking photography classes the previous year. As I was sitting on the condo patio, I had an image in my mind. I took my sunglasses and propped them up on my beach hat so I could get the reflection of the beach in the lens of the sunglasses. It turned out exactly how I had imagined. It?s fun to try different things with photography.

Driving through the backroads of McPherson county has become a favorite place of mine. Sensitive Briars can be found growing along side the dirt road. Their beauty caught my eye.

4/23/26 McPherson, KS looking E/SELeaving my granddaughter?s music program on April 23rd, I couldn't look away from the sky. The clouds were breathtaking, but they weren't just a pretty view?they were a warning.I drove to a field south of McPherson to capture the contrast: the quiet, new life of the wheatfields against a horizon of destructive storm clouds. These storms went on to produce large hail, damaging winds and even a couple of tornado warnings."Dangerously Beautiful" kept circling

? Society for Visual Education ? My husband loves yard sales and estate sales and knows if he finds any vintage cameras he needs to buy them. Chose the black and white edit with a low key, so the silver on the lens popped.
